Hi! Everyone knows that submitting to article directories, but very few people actually take time to write and submit articles. Maybe because, they get rejected or they prefer to use it on their blogs. Do you submit to article directories? Cheers!
You know, I did that in the past and it's such an inefficient way to earn cash. I had earned like a quarter after a week's worth of work. If you're interested in writing you can do much better by posting content on your own site, doing SEO for it, and selling directly to your audience. I would also recommend writing Kindle eBooks on popular topics. I've made over $17,000 from them in the past year and paid $5 per ebook for a cover on Fiverr
Directories are sh*t. DMOZ is the worst directory ever. Do not waste your time on directories. Have you ever searched for something or found something in a directory? NO? I thought so. Anyone who says that directories are good is a liar. Directories are waste of time. For both the owners (who are broke losers) and for the users (who are dimwits). Hello...??
Of course ! I use Article marketing robot and outsource the writing of the articles .. I also use senuke XCr... There is many different ways to use article marketing .. You can use it for backlinks (seo) or to sell your products or to brand your name or business.
Yes, i have been submitting articles in directories for long days, but i think they are not so impressive enough when it comes to results.
I still use them, but you have to create more links to your articles if you want them to rank. so, post an article, and then post a yahoo answer linking to it, or mention it in a forum or get some links from other article sites.
It's not the best idea, although I have used them in the past. The problem is that they often give your article away to others or, others simply re-post/clone your content. And you know what that means: content farming! And we all know it's also important where your content (potentially with your link) lands. Suppose it lands on a poor quality spammy site... I guess the article marketing should be done a lot more differently from now on. Guest articles still work... just that it has gotten a lot more riskier with recent Google updates. Go for "nofollow" links as well!
I highly recommend article marketing to build back-links and to get traffic. I tried to upload some free ebooks but the files were too big. You can get some free ebooks on my site, it's listed in my profile.
Nowadays, it isn't worth time. Screw the Article Directories. You have much better ways to get links and traffic.
If you have your link in the bottom then at least your URL gets copied as well if it's all automated, I've seen countless of backlinks like that. Hopefully most do good than bad lol.. I used to worry about article directories like 4 years ago with an old site, but currently only have like maximum 10 together on Ezine, GoArticles and Squidoo. If I were to go do this I'd just use an automated tool and do tiered backlinking using article directories.
Like, for instance - what are you thinking about? Anyway, of course - Google will most likely penalize, because many of those article directories are spammy content and link farms.
There's no harm in it. I have over 200 articles at EzineArticles and people have found my products via the articles. Add your website or sales page link at the bottom of each article. To make it work though you need a lot of articles and they should be in a specialised niche.
Not sure about these bulk article-containing pages... I'd rather go for guest blogging, guest articles. Google is quite harsh on "content farms".
I gave it a go but I never had much luck with it. I got a bit of traffic but nothing special, I know people that have though so the best thing is to try it for yourself. I'm sure my top traffic source aren't the same as everyone else, what works for you might not necessarily work for someone else!
I have just read that almost all article submission directories have been hit with the new penguin updates. Some classifieds have been affected too. Not us... at least not yet.
Google is also punishing guest posts, I read... I'm not sure whether they're penalizing for "do follow" guest article links or something else...
Yes i do, article marketing is a great way to build more backlinks, as well as generate traffic. I get traffic from articles I submitted two years ago still, just goes to show they are worth doing.
