    Yeah you should know exactly how much each click pays. I get from .05 to $2 depending on the content.

    It should be more than obvious what pays and what doesn't.

    Obviously there is less money in those markets. Ads want to make money.

    I never really got $1 clicks on my travel sites...

    On a rural goods site that I've run adsense on for a long time there used to be plenty of $1+ clicks but not any longer -- I think advertisers have got wiser!

    there are many keywords which pay more than 1$.Sometimes as high as 40$+.You can check them at http://rich-ads.blogspot.com

    But even though you create sites with those keywords you get those rich advertisments for sites with good rating only.

    A good tip is to use the google section tags:

    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
    the text you want adsense to focus on goes here
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    Basically, put the tags around the text you would like google adsense to display more relevant ads for ..... or in this case higher paying keywords ;)

    Cheers ....

    It's definitely about choosing the right niche. Mine average at about $1.70 per click on my best site - but I have another site where adsense is only a little extra bonus - as it's used to promote my other site.

    I started off earning 10 cents per click, and have since changed my plans. I'll tell you my secret and if you like it feel free to green me...lol. I use this site http://www.popularkeywords.com/google_adsense_keywords/index.php which shows you what keywords are the highest paying. If adsense earning are a priority for you, then you should consider building around the higher paying niches.

    Don't just make a site because you think it will make you loads of money!!! The internet doesn't need anymore wasted space! Find something that can earn you money, that you also find interesting - the more passionate and interested in your topic, the better your site will be.

    Well... there is my essay for the day...rofl!!!

    ok - here is another one of my fave sites... http://uv.bidtool.overture.com/d/search/tools/bidtool/index.jhtml?Keywords= - it's sometimes more accurate, and you can put in the words that you choose to see the price that people are bidding.

    Oh yeah, and just because they are bidding this price doesn't mean that's what you get.... but this one will show you a bit closer than that other one does.
