    Are you tweeting for building backlinks?
    Are you tweeting to keep your followers notified of updates?
    Are you testing tweeting to see conversions of opt-ins or sales?
    Are you building a list of individual target audiences?

    I joined Twitter way back when it was rolled out. Back then, it was real fun. The day I joined it, I my self hosted blog had crashed due to exceeding of bandwidth. But now, I have deleted the twitter account when everyone out there is an internet marketer.

    I think you're right and a lot of people are automating it. I read a report a while back and I don't recall the article at the moment so I'm not going to quote anything but I believe it said that 64% of the twitter users have more than 6 accounts. Haha. Honestly, I have 4 people in my house hold and NONE of them have twitter... Go Figure. For Marketing though, I attention is more toward celebrities and the media... that's where twitter is a cash machine. Partner up with a celebrity! :)

    Twitter Is also good to keep your customers Interested In what you do, So It really depends on what you do or sell
    I'm a artist, so there Is some Interest to others there.
    Its like any other seo....a little here......a bit there all adds up

    I get more traffic from twitter with less followers but I wouldn't say it's better marketing tool.
