    My first lens: http://www.squidoo.com/merchantaccounts/

Please only rate this page if you think it's worth five stars. If you don't think it's worthy that, then I'd rather have some feedback so I can improve it.

    Thanks,

    Hi

I was a bit disappointed by your lens and the site that you link to. I've just been through the whole evaluation process and found a different way of looking at things. We sell software so online delivery is possible (unlike other goods which may be sold online like clothes, gifts etc). We've just decided not to renew with WorldPay (not on your list) and to go 100% through RegNow (not on your list).

Worth mentioning is the reasons for picking one over the other. We evaluated ClickBank and the others and found their slightly higher fees were worthwhile because they helped us build a network of affiliates without having to manage that ourselves. With WorldPay we did.

Now, I could just set up a lens to compete with yours but that wouldn't really be in the spirit of things so instead I hope you can grow your site and your lens :)

    good luck

    Sarah

Thanks for your feedback Sarah, I really appreciate it!

I don't want to take this thread off topic, but need to make a couple of quick comments in response to what you said:
    - WorldPay is expensive and not recommended, which is why it was excluded. This is laziness on my part and will be corrected.
    - RegNow is software only, making them too specialist for a general information site.
    - ClickBank is not a merchant account, but does appear on my list of alternatives with the benefits you stated. I have now put a link to this page at the end of the list of merchant account providers, as I'm sure you're not the only person who missed it. :)

Finally, please do set up your own lens! We can link them together using the lensroll feature and give visitors the benefit of a second opinion.

If anyone else wants to do some reciprocal lensrolling, send me a PM.

I set up a lens on weight loss tips at http://www.squidoo.com/weightlosssecrets a few months ago and it went absolutely nowhere on it's own, I think I got around 10 hits altogether over a few months. A few weeks ago I started to really get involved with Stumbleupon using another thread on DP and added my Squidoo lens as one that I liked.

My traffic went through the roof one day and now I sit at #71 on Squidoo from #25,000 a couple of weeks ago. I do not know how I will keep up the traffic but maybe getting a high ranking will keep itself going on it's own through traffic within the site.

Any thoughts on that? Or will I just drop back down to the invisible bottom of Squidoo?

With all of the DP lenses out there and many of them in topranking positions I wonder if we shouldn't make a DP Lens Group.

Guess what?! I just created my very first "fan page"!

Well, the motive is more sinister than that, it's all a matter of a deep link I'm trying to push a bit more. :D

I'd appreciate some votes (good or bad) for my Auckland lens - only one link to a site I own and that's a small political site so it's not commercial.
