Do You Squidoo? Good way to get free traffic

It needs direction.

It would be far more interesting if I read a lens on "How I Became A Games Designer".

You could then have a link to the company you work at. And just the one, at the end of the lens. Because having just the one link, in my opinion, is classy. Not saying that you do, but I see lenses with every sentence with a link to the same site and all I see is desperation.

So if you made a lens on "How To Become a Games Designer" or "How I Became A Games Designer" that was well written, with a few appropriate images and screenshots, it would hook me well enough that I'd want to go to the company homepage.

How do you get your squidoo indexed? Actually when do you notice it indexed... it does get indexed naturally right?

 

Even though Squidoo is a good site, it's still useful to have at least one other link to your lens to improve your rankings. (Whether you link from your personal blog, submit to LensRoll.com, submit to Digg, buy links, etc)

At first I put a lot of work in to my Lens, but after I while I just visited about once a week doing some small adjustments.

I clicked on it about 6 weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised to see it had got PR3 from Google, after being at PR0 since its creation. It`s currently at 16 in its category.

Camping Lens

It was similar with my son`s lens, his is now at PR2, and stands at 18 in his category. Suzuki Vans Lens

Joining groups, lensrolling, favoriting others and them reciprocating, getting your lens rated, others joining your fan club, making comments on your lens etc are all ways to climb the Squidoo rankings.

I suggest you add some more text to your lens. Content is king. Also, there are loads of modules, try to find one or two more to make your lens more interactive.

Favorite others, lensroll, rate others, join fan clubs, and you`ll find others taking an interest in yours. That in turn will help you climb the rankings.

Just try to take it slow and easy, keep adding content, play around with modules, post on SquidU, and eventually you`ll get there.
