I'm just getting into Squidoo, it seems to have a novel approach to Social Networking. I'll have to experiment with it a little bit more and figure out how to make it work so I can make new friends throught it.

If anybody can PM me some blog articles about using Sqidooo, It would be much appreciated.

Stop by www.squidoo.com/where for a growing list of lenses (by various lensmasters) which deal with the different aspects of Squidooing. Some great tutorials in there.

The lens seems a light on content, if you want it to rank well in both Squidoo and Google. Your intro module is the only thing with real content.

The RSS module is a good way to make Google think the lens updates regularly, but the content is pulled from your blog, not from a feed just about Hostorix, so it seems a bit out of place.

Similarly, the Amazon and YouTube modules don't have any content related to Hostorix.

I'd suggest you add in a few more Text modules with details on the benefits provided by Hostorix. Try to answer the most common questions that people are going to have.

For example, the big question for me is: At $27 a month, what's the advantage over $5 a month web hosting that gives me far more storage and bandwidth?

If the main advantage is the fail safe nature, include some statistics that show the amount of revenue lost by online businesses due to server failures. Show people why they need this form of hosting, as opposed to the 99.99% uptime versions.

To maximize your income, include a secondary hosting option that doesn't have the fail safe feature, for people who decide that Hostarix isn't for them. Give them an alternative right on your lens, rather than having them go elsewhere looking for it.

    Hope that helps,
    Jay

Actually, Google (and other search engines) won't see the RSS Feed, because it is loaded dynamically by the client browser. RSS modules on Squidoo are no good for passing link juice.

Thanks for the correction! I'd thought that was loaded server side.

    That's interesting to note.

I haven't looked into RSS feeds much. But I've heard others, certainly there are ebooks on it which extol its use.

But I'll take the wise words of Fluffa over an ebook guru any day!

    It's easy, easy, easy.

Check out www.squidoo.com/what and also www.squidoo.com/module

That'll give you enough information to point you in the right direction.
