Yeah, it's a loop hole that'll get fixed as soon as the admin squids notice it. Personally, I think it's tacky and spammy, but I still use extra colours on a couple of my own lenses. (mine's the green one in this list - note the use of a white background too).

Inserting italics in into your lens title is far more subtle, and I tend to use that much more often (as can be seen in my lens list).

I'm baffled, but my Roleplaying with Kids lens is now #10 (was #8, but slipped a bit).

I mean, really, how does such a niche topic end up in the top 10? The lens of the day traffic boosted it into the top 100, but that has long since died down (although I did get a recent traffic spike from an unknown source).

Just when I thought I was getting a handle on how lensrank worked. ;-)

    Don't forget the Angel Factor.

And I much rather lenses like yours in the Top 100 then the overdone MAKE MONEY ON THE INTERNETS stuff that gets done to death.

Niche is nice. Being unique and original is where it's at.

The Angel factor could be a big part of it. Lensrank was hard to predict before, that just makes that much harder.

I agree, on Squidoo being original is key. Now that I've got a lens ranked highly, I've been getting requests to review other people's lenses, and have seen a lot of very similar lenses that don't provide much original content.

I've seen lots of good lenses, too, and it's obvious when someone puts time and energy into their lenses.

Well, I don't read the language, so I can't say whether the content's good or not. But a few generic comments:

    1) Add a couple more modules to bring the lens into "improved" status

    2) Use some different types of modules for variety, other than just text

    3) A guestbook is always a great idea for lens, so it's good that you have one

Since I'm totally incapable of commenting on content, I'll assume you've done some keyword research and "Ngadutrafik" gets some search engine traffic in the countries where it'd be appropriate.

    Take care,
    Jay

As Squidoo grows in Lensmasters and lenses I believe the unique and original ones will be the ones that rise to the top.

Some ordinary ones may spike, due to traffic. But in the long run the ones that are consistent will prevail.

My first lens to almost get in the top 10!
    http://www.squidoo.com/kidsbirthdaycakes/

It is at 13, was 11 yesterday. Amazing! It got there mostly due to traffic. This lens shows almost 3,000 visitors in 7 days! Yikes! How did I do that??

However, I wish the amazon modules were working better. Many of them on this lens are not loading. UGH!

    My lens is at http://www.squidoo.com/affiliateallstar/

If you see the text module when you're editing the lens, the only thing I can think of it that you didn't publish it.
