It is a lot of work, but if it is a subject you enjoy I guess it is not that bad. I created lenses and groups that are all related to my website. I have included a link to my site in each lens. Not sure how this will help my site, but I suppose time will tell. Squidoo is such a new concept/website so nobody really knows if it will take off, but if it does I want to be there to enjoy the ride. :D And, I believe that the first people to make popular lenses on Squidoo will be the ones that benefit the most even after others come along. That is why I am trying to build popular, high lensranking lens and groups now. This is just my thoughts on it. I also don't find it that much work, I think it is actually fun.

other notes, the revenue sharing thing is a plus as well. It may not be a lot of money now, but who knows what it could be done the road. Also, google seems to like squidoo. I put in a search term I recently started to target and my site did not rank yet, but my squidoo lens with the term did.

So I tried this Squidoo thing out, give it a look and a rating if you'd be so kind! As the title says, be gentle, it was my first try! :)

BTW: I'll be going through and rating all that I can in this thread soon enough!

    Hi,

At the risk of sounding like a dummy, how do you rate a lens?

Also, if I started one, how would I promote my Adsense sites on it?

    Thanks,

    IFS

You click on the stars at the top. Then as far as promoting your adsense sites simply turn the lens into a sales pitch/portal page with a link to them to check out.

Right. So would I need one squidoo lens per site I wanted to promote, to keep it all on-topic?

Thanks also to the graphic example giver on rating. Point taken.;)

Anyone think we should restart this with a fresh thread? And start rating each lens that is added instead of just continuing to go off topic?

OK, I finally decided to try this out.

    http://www.squidoo.com/free-music

It's still a bit dusty, but I'll be working on it in the next couple of days. I really like being able to add my RSS feed to it.
