I spend more time on forums because it informative and valuable, social media sites just waste the time

I always go to forums for information; it's like an endless well to get the knowledge from. Social media websites can be also really informative, but it takes time to build a decent network/to filter out the priority sources of information.
It's also something like: social media are there to communicate, and forums are there to interact.

I spend most of my time online on the forums, I don't like social media sites.

I do use both. I feel that forums are very specific, it means I am capable of speaking with industry specific people. Meanwhile, social just sort of opens the discussion to everyone. I think that they both have their own set of benefits and disadvantages. I think I spend more time on forums though.

If you are looking for traffic than social media sites are more useful than forums.
