Of course. Obama is a politician, and doesn't have any principles he won't sell out for power.

Yes I think I heard somewhere that it's the most popular sporting event in the USA. Although IMO it is not a sport. Crazy!!!

What does "(sic)" mean or refer to?

(sic) means that spelling or grammar errors were intentionally repeated so as to accurately quote the source. Like, if I was writing about something dumb Bush said, I might add (sic) to the quote so that my readers know that I am not the idiot who cannot speak English.

Obama and Bloomberg are beholden to lobbyists. Don't kid yourself. You don't raise Obama's money from these people without being beholden to corporate interests...

between paul and obama it is shown that a candidate can raise money online and obama knows how. that makes him independent. it is not that i want to silence the lobbyists but i want our govt to evaluate their request based on our interest. i find this combination allows that we talk about issues like ss and health care and find acceptable solutions.

Actually, the problem is, that our Congress men are supposed to be our lobbyists. Instead, they see it as their job to facilitate special interest lobbyists.

Sorry, I'm far too anti-state these days to even have the discussion about SS and Medicare. We're f**king totally bankrupt. What part of that do people not understand? BANKRUPT.

all these things are the result of financing. in the next presidential election there are a whole lot of people that are going to donate oline. this gives people the chance to participate hopefully more people are going to get info online. the grip of the religious right is being reduced and maybe this trend will continue. all these things have a better chance with a barak bloomberg combination. he brings a total understanding of economic issues and the capacity to make good judgment.
hillary and mccain are both steps backward the time has passed for what they know.

I think no politican should be allowed to take money from anyone. All ads on tv should be free for anyone who runs. We own the goverment they work for us and they sell the air wave rights to the tv stations. It should be a law that tv stations must give all politicans so many hours for comercials that way they do not need money from lobbyist or others.

No he doesn't. And (don't take this as vicious) neither do you.

What does Obama understand? That we have to double taxes and shut down the foreign empire if we're going to have any chance of not going bankrupt and collapsing?

Based on what? What great judgments has he made? He's a junior Senator with little experience.

If you really believe he understands the economic issues we face, and has the capacity for good judgment, surely you could share how you came to these conclusions?

Sorry, but I have little tolerance for the cult of Obama right now.

Try looking at the problem another way.

Instead of giving politicians so much power that everyone is trying to buy and corrupt them, why not more evenly distribute the power the way the founders intended?

Why can't you make the better decisions? How is a politician any smarter, honest or wise than you?

Why can't power be returned to the states as intended by the Founders? It will be a lot tougher for lobbyists if they have to buy 50 states instead of key members of the House and Senate.

I'll never understand why the solution to government corruption, waste, fraud etc,. is always more government. It's like trying to lose weight by eating more. Totally illogical, and you end up with more sh1t.

obama brings the possibility to talk honestly with people. he has shown he knows how to put together a good group of people, keep control and be successful. exactly what we need the president to do bloomberg will bring a lot to the table. and the combination will defenatly win all the way to the white house. that is my gut feeling

Right. So this is just basically more cult of Obama word games.

There are no specific instances you can point to, or any specific policy speeches/positions to back up your assertions.

This has been going on for months. I have asked people, what does Obama stand for, and all I get is the respondent projecting his cult of Obama impression on Obama, nothing tangible from the candidate themselves.

Pizza, you seem like an intelligent, sensitive and moral guy. Don't be a sucker for a good speaker with a nice smile.
