As I'm not from USA, should I setup an LLC? What's the benefit?

The benefit would be to prevent you from getting sued and losing your personal assets...(at least that's why i did it)...

though I'm not up to par on out of US stuff...so I'm not sure how all that international stuff goes...

are you talking about forming one in the US even though you aren't from here?

Yes, forming in USA while I'm not from USA. I saw there's a lot of services on the Internet, and the most popular is from Delaware.

delaware is the most popular because of all the favorable business laws (and cheap yearly franchise fees)...

Although you can set up a LLC in the US, it does not really have much of a real advantage if you are not operating in that country except to get a US presence.

It would actually be more favorable if you set up the business in your country.

In term of operating, yes I do operate in USA e.g servers, hosting at USA datacenter.

Only manpower / staff which is widely spread all over the world.

Well, actually unless you colocate in the US with your own hardware and station a staff in your employ in the US, you are not deemed to be operating in the US at least in the eyes of the law.

Foreigners can rent servers from the US as what you are getting is pretty much a service, your asset is not technically in the US per se.

Like the rest of us, although we are not in the US, we do rent hosting from the US and work with US companies and I use my Singapore Address for that without issue.

Of course that being said, there is nothing wrong is setting up a LLC in the US. There is no just explicit advantage or obligations in doing so.

    eddy2099,
Basically what's the benefit of operating in the US rather than operate in Singapore?

You still have to pay taxes isn't it?

Well, I did not say that there is a benefit and as far as taxes are concern, you still need to pay them anyways.

Like I said, it would be better to set up your business in your home country so at least you can write-off business expenditures to reduce taxation.

I only use a US-based web host because they are cheaper than those from Singapore.
