Hello Everyone I have been thinking about this a little lately since I have seen many posts about SEOing your site for Yahoo specifically, or SEOing your site for Google specifically. What I want to know is.. whats the point in SEOing your site for a single search engine? I mean you should SEO your site for google just because. But anyways, I dont really understand the difference between different Search Engines SEO interpretation. If you make your site 100% SEO compatible with Google, why would be it only 20% compatible with Yahoo or MSN search engines? Why would the search engines rank your site different just on how you SEO your site differently. I have worked on several SEO'ed sites and I just dont understand what the big deal is. The way I see it theres only 1 way to SEO optimize your site dynamically: Title with: Sitename - Category name - Subcategory name - Page name Meta Tags: Typically a generation of top 100 keywords used in your site along with site name, category name, page name. Meta Description: 2 or 3 keyword rich sentances that both contain most of the top keywords and entice a searched that your site is important. Also need to use dynamic words in here from site name, category, and page. SEO Friendly Urls: www.sitename.com/category-name/sub-category/page-name.html If you optimize those 4 areas of your site dynamically, I am sure you can get 1st page Google for most keywords if they are not too saturated. Is there a better way to do this? Do other search engines frown upon some of these practices? Thanks
You can make a page specific for each one so they do better. Most just work on google because they have the most traffic.
I just work on getting backlinks, I guess if I had to choose which search engine I want to rank well for the most it would be Google of course.
