yeah...i actually have tons of mods and stuff on some of my larger forums (but all those are non-profit sites) and I actually loose money on those and still don't pay the staff...though I only have moderators...all the real site stuff like formats, rules, design, all that stuff I do myself at the moment...
I do all my stuff myself, but that is likely because i'm not making enough money to justify hiring someone and paying them well enough to keep a sustained interest in its success. If I was making enough I would probably be confident in hiring someone and then expand into other web projects while routinely checking up on the status of the original project.
that is actually one of the other reasons I don't pay anyone to do this right now...i'm just not starting to get the money it to be able to afford someone...though for now I think I can still manage everything by myself...in 6 months though...i hope to not be able to
I get a lot of spam...lol....I have 113 emails loaded in my outlook...though truthfully i'm sure i don't need them all...i just have this obession with having a seperate email for everything, on all my sites...and more than half of them forward to one email anyway... guess I could work on that problem a little to relieve some pressure...lol
I run mine myself but since I focus most of my time on my work at home sites my others don't get the attention they should. I do like the idea of paying someone to do my newsletter but other than that I hate giving up control. Judy
Yeah I run my own site there isn't enough work for someone else to do so there isn't much point! Chris
If you have a good content management system then running your own websites can be fun. But for advanced features etc you would need to hire a web developer.
My main site is run by someone else, the only work I do on it is when there are some problems or when Im coding new stuff for it. But generally I have nothing todo with it except take the income.
yea im certainly quite lucky to be able to rely on her to run it for me. Gives me time to work on other stuff
one of these days i'll get there ...though i'd still have the issue of wanting to be involved...i don't know how good i'd be at just checking the bank account...lol
My site and everything that goes along with it is entirely done by yours truly. All advertising, marketing, updating the site, blogging, everything. And I wouldn't have it any other way
I used to be a webmaster, and managed everything myself. I felt that if I did it that way, I could learn things faster, and it was obviously a lot cheaper than hiring someone else to do it.
even if it got so big it started making 5K a month and you had to add tons and tons of new content and marketing?
