Do You Run Adsense Ads on Your Adwords Landing Pages?

I have in the past run Adsense ads on my Adwords landing pages, the sole purpose is not arbitrage but rather to offset advertising costs (as my site has other content and the goal is to have users sign up for a service). I had a disaster with my last Adwords account where they basically would never give me a good quality score, I am not sure what the cause of this was, it could have been that I was running Adsense ads, but I had talked with their support and was told that it is ok to have Adsense as long as there is original content on the site. There are other things I think may have caused the problem, so I'm wondering if anyone else on here runs Adsense on their landing pages and if it has any sort of negative effect on their campaigns. Thanks

You can run adsense, but you it cannot appear to be the primary goal to get people to click on your adsense ads. There is a lot of grey area when it comes to this top.

If you want me to take a look at your landing page please PM me. I see you have lots of questions and perhaps I can steer you in the right direction if I can see things.

Thanks man, you've been really helpful, have answered a lot of my posts. I am working on my landing pages at the moment, I will post it on here once its done, I think my issue was related to something other than adsense since that shouldn't appear as the primary goal of my site.

Adesense is a bit of a traffic leak. Try replacing that with related cpa offers if you're looking to offset advertising costs. CPA offers related to your niche will pay far more then adsense would.

I have recently added adsense to my main entrance page and I have to admit I have seen an increase in boucne rate in recent weeks. Whether this is linked or not I am unsure.

I've used adsense on my landing pages. Hasn't seemed to impact my quality score. Content and CTR has had the most effect.

The mindset of offsetting advertising cost by using adsense on your landing page is - from a business persons standpoint - crazy.

You want the visitors who land on your page to take the action that will make you the most money, yes? You want to increase your revenue and decrease your cost, yes?

Having adsense on there will only serve to bring you in pennies in comparison to what a "sale" would make you.

Why not concentrate all your efforts on increasing the conversions of your landing page and increasing your profits instead of having the mindset of a failure from the outset by adding adsense on there to cover your costs.

To me.. anyone who adds adsense or any other form of monetization to cover advertising costs are saying "I can't do this... I suck... I'll just settle for second best and cover my ass"...

Make of that what you will.

    Cheers
