    Hi

I have just launched my SEO business, I have a lot of XP doing it for friends and just helping people in web design forums etc so not amazingly familiar with the business end of it

well, i have started by sending everyone a link to a google spreadsheet where i record the domain and page rank of the site I have set a link up on to maintain transparency and to incease trust in what a lot of businesses see as a dark art, and actually some people have sent me reports telling them to go after the keyword "branding" WTF?

so my issue is this is pretty time consuming, and im getting emails from people saying i cant find my link on that site, of course directories take up to a week to approve a link I tell them. but it seems like a lot of hassle if you know what I mean.

also what if the directories dont approve the links, i would have spent a week or 2 link building and 30-50% might be high pr directories but if none are approved how do you keep the client happy?

    what are your thoughts?

and do you know of any good SEO contract resources?

Thank you all so much for your help!

Some directory only update their list monthly and they do ignore those small and junk site.
I wouldn't use free listing at directory due to the slow approval time and time consuming.
What i make to get 100% confirm listing is buying premium link by paying them a certain fee and it worth it.

Providing SEO services can be tough. I do make a record of the links where did I do the blog comments and with the comments I wrote. All this to provide the report that I am doing my job. The comments are not approved straightaway due to comment moderation features on some blogs so this report will help you to give your job proof.
