Hey there, I'm new, but have done alot of research and am close to the point of the creation of my first niche blog. Do you recommend avoiding adsense if your trying to sell an affiliate product, or have you had success with using both? Thanks, Sam
depends on the layout of your page. i think too much of adsense and affiliate banners may make your site look spammy. just my two cents worth
I think you should add ads from the clickbank "HopAds" tool or go http://freeadvertising4money.com You will be making more money then adsense will be giving you, because they only give you some cents for a click, but if you use these programs I listed for you, then you can make dollars in your clickbank easy.
You can have the best of both worlds. It will take some experimenting but try it out and I think you'll like the results. If you have a niche site/blog and want to make money primarily from affiliate sales then put your adsense in only specific areas of your site. You need to learn how to blend in your adds where they actually help the reader or consumer. Works great for posts that bring in traffic where the person is trying to find something or wants to see comparisons. Checkout some of the Top Blogs and sites and look how they blend in affiliate links, banners and CPC networks.
I have plenty of blogs with adsense on them, but I avoid putting adsense on my blogs promoting clickbank products. Clickbank blogs are written quite differently from adsense blogs, with the whole point being to encourage people to 'hop' over to the clickbank page. I don't want any extra leakage for those landing pages/blogs.
Oh yes, have an exit console with adsense where you can say "Not interested in the product? Just checkout these sponsored links instead"
See as far as landing page is concern NO a Big NO! This actually distract reader from your primary motive (Sale). Though you will earn few cents with adsense but if you get sale with that reader/visitor then you will earn lot more. If you have a blog and you are doing seo then its advisable to have adsense on your blog, but if you have landing page where a targeted readers are coming then i will not suggest adsense on that page...
I won't put adsense on site promote CB products. The purpose of the site is to presell the visitor about the CB products. You might want to use adsense if your site topic is a general niche.
Sure, you can use adsense on your niche blog. Just let me know the address, so I can steal your customers...
Why would you want a few cents for a click when you can make a huge sale with Clickbank? If you are promoting a weight loss program, and AdSense is showing a link for weight loss program, then when the person clicks the Ad, you would lose a potential sale. Why not offer free stuff and make people opt-in to a list? That is the real money maker there...
If you are just starting out with the niche blog it's best not to put in adsense. You should really focus on promoting your affiliate products. Once it gets big, and you may have many pages without any recommended products in it, then put in adsense.
Yes, definitely. Adsense is a way to earn pennies and give people a way to leave your site rather than staying there. Nothing to think about, here.
Thats against the terms and conditions of the Adsense program so don't do this at all unless you want your account banned.
I use both in my blogs. Since I use hyperlinks within the content for affiliate marketing, I dont see any problem with google adsense in the same blogs. I hate to see banners floating about, that's why I prefer hyperlink
Even though I have not try that. But I think that if you put adsense on niche blog, your CB earning will reduce.
Wow thanks for all the responses! I get the overall impression adsense is only a good idea if blended well on a general blog, rather than a niche one or especially one selling affiliate products. I always thought the best strategy was to create a blog with a niche area and sell affiliate products to that market. But I get the impression it maybe better to create a blog about an affiliate product within a niche market, or "even better" create a landing sales pitch page rather than a blog - what do you profit best from? Thanks, Sam
I agree with all your conclusions above, Sam. I do best with little blogs about an affiliate product within a niche market.
