Do you really have to be 18 I mean how will they know?

Ok i've been looking at adsense for a while now and I was just about to sign up when I noticed that you have to be 18 to use the service and i'm 14...But what I want to know is, do you HAVE to be 18 will they ever find out and if they do what will they do to you? Any feedback is appriciated...

 

OF course not, they just put that in their TOS for no reason and to fill space.

Have your parents sign up for you.. don't try to defraud the system.

 

that is why my first accnt got banned, i was like 15 and i signed up for google and used their ads, somehow they found out, idk if by SSN or something but they did and banned me. Get your parents to sign up for you.

Exactly, they'll know because you have to provide them your bank info, (why would you want to risk it?) so of course they'll know. Just get your parents to sign up for you...

 

I thought Google just sent your money via cheque...

 

better be safe and ler your parents sign up for you, it would be nice if you lose all your earning because you are under age. you can get it by check or straight to your bank account

they send payments out when you have at least $100 in your account. Payment would be for the previous month.

 

When do you give bank info? I have never given them anything other than SSN and address.

 

If your in the UK you don't have to give out you Social Security Number...Do we even have one over here??

 

You have to pay taxes at some point. So does google (no matter what country you're in). So they need some sort of ID, whatever that would be in the UK.

Using that ID, they can find your age.

 

Belive me a lot of people are umder 18 years old but use google adsense. If you are afraid just write the name of your mum or something like that

Anyway ... They can't check and when you will get the cheque you can use it even though you are younger than 18

i think its never easy to detect persons exact age who lives out side US.

 

IRS provide employers with a SSN verification site. From there, they can tell if the DOB/Gender is right or wrong.

Whether they check or not..only Google can confirm. I'm assuming they might check down the line or if they want to find a reason to cancel any accounts.

 

they will just ban you and it will be hard to get back on

Yeh think its equivelant to Nation insurance number, or whatever it is. You can always get your parents to sign up..
