do you really care about the PR of your website?

We know that high PR is good, as Google
assigns more value to them. But having
a high PR doesn't directly do anything to
your SERP, which means it doesn't really
help much in terms of search engine traffic.

Sure high PR might get you traffic from other
sources, and it probably indicates that
you're producing quality content that people
like to read/watch, but I think this kind of
traffic is negligible compared to search engine
traffic.

Another good point about high PR is that if
you ever decide to sale your website, it will
be valued higher.

So do you really care that much about the PR
of your website?

If you're getting decent amount of traffic anyway,
do you care if you're a PR1 and not a PR4?

 

I don't care about the PR much if site is getting good traffic. I am still inclined to see my PR when I see PR update threads here !

 

i care more about ranking high for the keywords i target as long as my pr isn't 0 I'm a happy guy.

Most agree here ranking is more important. I never understand why some people get so concerned with PR.

 

I don't really care too much about PR for my own sites.
I find that many of my clients judge success by having a higher PR number so I try to bump those ones the most so the client is comfortable that I'm achieving results.
Page Rank is definitely is a little over hyped.

 

Personally, the only thing I think a high PR is good for is as a selling tool for advertising on my websites. It's easier to sell ads to someone on a PR5 site than it is on a PR1 site (even if the PR1 site gets more traffic).

Yep, i don't even care what keywords i rank for. I just care about the math, if i put $500 in to a site and pull $2,500 out of it for example that right there is what matters.

 

It depend on the day of the week I do believe it is important to have a good page rank for linking strategies, but I swear I get some crazy traffic on sites of mine with no PR. Sometimes social networking beats up PR

 

No, I just care about the number of people visiting my sites and those that actually buy.

 

Some say Pr is worthless but for me, it plays an important role in a site. A great certification of a good site. Anyway, I care about the number of people visiting my site that converts to lead and sales.

 

Ahh no, a totally blank page can get Pagerank so does having Pagerank make it great?

 

I do care about the PR of my page , not my website. once I want to promote a specific page I want to make sure his PR will be high as well.

 

I like to see PR as something that shows me, if I doo good stuff on my website or not. If it goes up, I know that Ive doone the right stuff for SEO, and if it goes down (actually never happened to me yet), I would see that I need to change something in my optimization efforts.

For all these 3,PR is really important for me.

I select my blog content as per PR point view.

In short,PR is also important factor with ranking of any site or blog.

 

i would rather rank high in SERP's then have a high PR.

yet its always nice to see a nice PR
