Do You Post the Same Article on Multiple Sites

Discussion in 'Search Engine Optimization' started by frankMeyer, Nov 10, 2009.

I've been doing article marketing for a while now with some success and have a question. I focus primarily on ezinearticles. After my ezinearticle is live should I post the same article in multiple article directories? What are the benefits and downfalls to posting the same article in multiple directories?

No you should not submit the exectly the same article in needs parts changing the best way of doing this is with submityourarticle.com, it allows you to customize your article with different versions and then submits it to hurnderds of directories each one with a variation of your article and different link text to your site, depending on how many you send.

    Hope this helps.

    no downfall :)

2 benefits however. one, you get the backlinks. some will say that you will not get backlinks from duplicate articles but if you sublit to 10 article directories and manage to get 2 links, then you got one link extra if you know what i mean. two, its not just the backlinks but traffic also. more article directories you submit to, more traffic you get

submitting 1 article or 10 different articles will be measured on how natural your seo campaign will be, its all depend on u and your budget, if u willing to pay for 10 articles then u will enjoy more natural campaign, make your site/blog more important and natural to google

    Hello,

In the past this was fine, however Google is starting to catch on. Now using this practice is not too effective because Google has started to not count links from multiple sites that have the same content.

For example if you post your article on "SITE A" and then the same article on "SITE B", Google will not count the link from "SITE B". Google is not 100 percent effective however I have seen it happen on several occasions.

I suggest devoting your time towards developing unique content and only submitting it to sites that are "dofollow" and have high value. As well use your time to maybe create a twitter and make links that way.

    Hopes this helps,
    Nick

"Duplicate content", on different web sites, is a myth.

I post almost all my articles first on my own blogs/sites, then on EZA, then on other article directories, without making any changes to them. EZA has the most stringent editorial policies and guidelines and the reality is that what they'll publish, any other article directory will also publish.

I get both backlinks and traffic from all of them.

I advise my clients to do exactly the same. Those who take the advice also get both backlinks and traffic from all of them.

Anything else is people's widely repeated and perpetuated beliefs, without evidence.

The trick is to actually stick the article on your site and get folks to reference it. That is much better way to get relevant, merit based links.

    hope that helps,

it's possible, you can submit your article on multiple websites, so you can get back link from multiple website, if you want to change article and then modify it and again you can submit it as fresh article.

I guess you could submit same article to multiple directories. After all, multiple directories are differeent websites in the eyes of google. Though I am not sure whether it is going to count as duplicate content or not.

just to be sure, just change it up a bit. Duplicate content or whatever hasn't been an issue for me.

    Hi there,
I don't think there can be any advantage of submitting same article to different directories. You should change some content of your article and be unchanged with your keyword, this can help you.

Duplicate content refers to having the same content on different pages of your website.

A little example is when you have your website spidered both as domain.com and www.domain.com which for google it would look like two different pages but they are identical. Also, since they are different the bot would have to crawl your pages twice with domain.com and www.domain.com

This is the duplicate content penalty, not having original content is not a penalty. Surely if you did have original content you would be ranking higher but it's not a penalty to fear.

As for the question of submitting the same article, you definitely should. Also you should start thinking about building backlinks to your articles. The "bum marketing" method is just not as straight forward as it used to be.

If you're worried just use google translate. Translate to french and then back to english. Than for the next article convert to spanish than back to english and so on.
