Do you pay for the inclusion

I have tried to get some links at the web directories, and seen some crazy amounts requested for the link at the page with PR 2-3 - $200, $300 and so on.

Do you buy links in directories?

I understand, that yahoo, and maybe few others may bring some traffic, but other directories can be useful only from SEO side. But from the same point you may got pr 7 link for the same money. just wonder, why do they set so high prices

 

Have you got some examples that charge these amounts please ?
(Other than Y G etc)

yup deep link lists I think is def. worth the money to submit to them.

 

i usually dont pay for inclusion. rather buying related link from related sites.

Hey rightinpoint. You´ve got screwed. DMOZ is free. Just because some editor told you to paypal him three hunnies doesn´t mean that this is the official submission fee.

Or ¨review fee¨ like the guys from Best of the Web would call it

Hmm interesting concept. I have a domain name called AllTheSpam.com and I might build something like that charging 2k featured. Like they always say: you never ever know.

i could get the same effect by not having the submit page available but..... what if?
