Do you pay money to get your link into directories such as v7n or alivedirectory or avivadirectory.com ? would it be a good investment to start paying for these kind of links?
All of the directories are high quality directories. Paying for inclusion in such directories will pay off much better than submitting to all the free ones combined.
I submit to paid directories with caution -- if the page that my link will be place on has a decent PR and is not too full of other links then I consider it. Even with the top directories the actual page where your link is placed can be very poor -- i.e. low PR and a number of sub-pages down the structure, swamped with other links.
i haven't..but i would consider it if i wanted to build high pr links. the directory would have to fit my exact niche and have good PR though. I wouldn't consider paying for a regular, general directory.
I don't pay for directory submission. In my opinion it's not worth it. Then again, I don't pay for any of my advertising.
I am submitting to paid directories but only after carefully checking the site, mostly submitting into directories which are giving listing for lifetime so it helps to site in longer run.
Yahoo Directory will make an impact in your rankings if you're at an early stage in SEO'ing your site.
i've done so maybe once or twice a long time ago - only cuz the page i wanted to list in had a good pr and it was a bid directory i think and wasnt that expensive. but otherwise i wouldnt pay.
I don't pay for links/or directory submissions and I wouldn't recommend it. Sure Google can't really detect all paid links, but many free directories are just as good. Some of the free ones are much more selective with sites, because linking to bad sites will hurt their advertising earnings.
they are good backlink sources if you can pay for links. i can try to get links from every types of the sites. free&paid directories
