Do you pay for directory inclusions?

Seems like almost every LinkDirectory with a PR higher than 1 charges money for a link... Do you actually pay for all these?
I bought links on PR 6 and 7 sites, but those low PR sites, is is worth paying a few bucks for all these?

 

Well I dont believe in investing any money in these directories.

For the most part, I ONLY use paid submissions. Better position means more visibility when the spiders come knockin. Whenever I submit to a directory for free, and my listing winds up at the bottom, I feel like I have just wasted time. For this reason, I prefer to pay for my submissions.

 

So till now how many paid submissions have you made?

That's a weird thing to say for an SEO company.

 

That PR1 directory could be a PR6 directory tomorrow and you would have to pay 5 times as much to get listed.

WOW! I don't think that is sound SEO advice at all!

I too submit to more paid directories than free ones. So many of these newer free directories offer buried listings on PR0 pages, and most are run very poorly. There are dozens of paid directories out there that I think are great values.

 

I spend some but I don't go directory crazy. I do research to make sure I get value for the money. I look at a few things including PR usually most important

No, I don't pay for any links in directories. Havn't had the need or want to as of yet.

How much in the past have I spent on directory listings, for all time? High $XXX certainly, probably into the lower $XXXX.

 

Well I only submit to the free directories and only those free directrories which have a PR 5 or above.

I dont run after fidning free directories I said I consider article submission and if I find any directory useful while surfing the internet then I go ahead to submit my site to the directories.
