Do you own an Arcade site...

Well it had to come to this.....

So decided to do what i love, planning to start an arcade site with a friend so just wanted to get the feel of it and get some advise from the pros...

Does anyone of you have an arcade site ??

Can we have a look.

and feel free to give any handy tips or thoughts as i could do with a lot of advise

I think i should buy some paid traffic for this now.

well get traffic and with those adsense units you could soon be a millionare

Just a question, how profitable can an arcade site be... well i have seen hundreds of them with the same game packs installed

 

I got the right placement i think , worked a whole night on that lol
Still i dont know how to get the traffic now

 

For most of the ads you'll get a low CPC. Some clicks even as low as $0.01. That being said there are some interesting game descriptions that trigger equally as interesting high paying ads... Keep in mind though that most visitors to your site are looking to play games and not clicking on an ad completely irrelevant to gaming and whatnot.

The second link in my signature links to ArcadeBanners. IMO they're an extremely good banner exchange program with a 10:9 ratio. You can buy 1000 impressions for $0.50 which will generally have a CTR higher than 3%. From the traffic I get, over 25% of them are return visitors.

I've got one - currently not doing any seo or links for it though.

I do adwords and it pays for itself (basically breaks even) why I build my membership base. I'm up to about 850 members now

Yeh... bandwidth is a bitch and it's very competitive. If I wasn't getting basically "free" traffic I wouldn't bother with it. but if I can get a few thousand steady members for free.. heh... why not?

 

Yes, it does eat a whole lot of bandwidth and it only pays a few cents a click.

 

Howmuch bandwith are u killing at the moment....thats another big concer for me..

I was looking for like unlimited bandwidth... do you know any who provide that at a reasonable price

 

I'm at around 32 Gigs for the month so far, that's with an average of 500 visitors a day. I'm not sure about the unlimited bandwidth.
