Yes its offical 'We Want You' - or more accurately 'We want to know about your general directory'!!!

We are looking for general directory owners who would like to increase the amount of traffic and submissions to their directory(ies).

What we are doing is compiling a rather huge list of general directories (both free and paid) which will be used to power a totally new and revolutionary semi-automated directory submission toolbar!!!

All you need to do is simply visit our submission page and submit your directory URL specifying if it accepts either:

    • Free Regular Submissions
    • Free Regular Recip. Submissions or
    • Paid Regular Submissions

Once submitted and approved your directory will get listed in an ever increasing, quality edited list of directories that will be used and integrated with our new toolbar application called the Smart Submit Tool.

If anyone has any questions either on the usage of the list or the actually semi-automated directory toolbar please to post to this thread and ill answer any and all questions people have.

    Now get submitting!!! :D

Cool Idea - what happens if you cant directly submit to a page? Like, you have to navigate to a category, then submit a link into that category?

Just leave that section blank if you can't provide a directory submit page URL - the information won't be used in the initially version of the toolbar software (we've just decided to included it just in case we do need that information).

We'll also be updating the design of the submission and index page shortly to make it a little prettier :D

We haven't anything visual to display as yet, actually just finalising the actual design of the site as i type this - hoping to get the main site up and running asap.

As for the software its almost to the alpha testing stage - visually it looks along the same lines as the google or msn toolbar (that sort of height). You can set up a profile (where you fill out your website information ie title, description, email address etc.) and you can also select what sort of directories you want to submit to (ie free, free with recip or paid).

Once you've set up a profile you click a green button on the toolbar which randomly selects a directory from the database that fits your needs, the website loads into your IE browser (the product is windows IE specific currently) and when you have select the category for your submission on the website and go to the submit page you click a fill button on the toolbar. The fill button automatically fills as many of the submit page fields as possible (based on the information you have provided in the profile).

Once submitted you simply click the green button which then loads the next random directory into the browser. If however a directory url doesn't resolve, the submission type has changed or the directory is no longer a directory you click a red button which reports the URL of the site and hence allows us to maintain the quality of our database.

Not sure if that helps you to visualise the tool any better but thats some of the basic features of what it can do. :)

Thanks to everyone submitting - we will approve all the listing into the database eventually although obviously a higher priority will be given to free general directories.

Can i also just say again that this is for general directories NOT niche directories as quite a few people who have submitted their directories obviously don't seem to know the difference (which is obviously very worrying).

Great - although it isn't in the alpha version we are hoping to integrate sorting by PR. When a profile is set up the user can choose the option to see highest PR ranked sites first... this is an additional feature that will be added in a later build though. We'll also be looking to add the ability to connect your own excel list of directories to the toolbar as well (if you have one), that way you don't have to use the database list that we have compiled.

Theres quite a lot of additional advanced features we are looking to add in the future although obviously at the moment we are concetrating on just the primary most important features!

Ill also hopefully be able to provide a screenshot of the toolbar in the next couple of days so everyone can see what the toolbar looks like in action! :)
