Do you need to put the Reciprocal Link on your site?

    Did a directory say this when you signed up? If yes, they'll boot your site if they check it and it's not there.

    You don't have to submit to directories which ask for a reciprocal link at all, because it is time-consuming. There are plenty of directory lists which include only SEO friendly directories, where you won't have to place a backlink. http://info.vilesilencer.com/ and http://www.addurl.nu/, for instance.

    After you've gone through those lists, there are paid directories. Only consider directories which ask for a reciprocal link after you have exhausted all other possibilities.
