    it used to be easy if there was start menu but regarding windows 8 it does't seem to be so much conflicting. anyone can easily access this software.

    Lol. Whatever is there inbuilt in Windows 8, use that only. No need to put a third party app.

    The fastest way to use start menu is to hit Windows button and start typing the name of the application you want to launch anyway. Nothing changed in the way the start menu works in Windows 8, think of it as a full screen start menu.
    Maybe it is a bit more tiring if you trying to find a given application on it from the full application list because it is a lot more cozy.

    the start menu is still there, it's just renamed to a start screen and has a different structure..

    No start button? It looks something strange in Microsoft's productions. We could use windows button instead of start menu. I have also heard that MS almost begun to develop another version that named "Windows Blue":)
