Between Singapore and Malaysia we are fighting over something more intellectual. While between Indonesia and Malaysia, the fights are over some dance and song.

    Dear F5F4,

Well we should do our best to make both Indonesia and Malaysia to get along on good term. Basically we are coming from the same original when you go back in time long enough. Most of the Malay in Malaysia are migrant from Bugi and Java, and the Chinese from Southern China while the Indian from the india.

Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures and religions. We all can track our origin to be at the same place. If we are fighting over all this culture thing, soon China will sue the rest of the world for Lion Dance, and UK will sue the world for badminton etc..

Im Malaysian too. Malaysia is a very gifted country with a lot of natural resources. Their multi racial is another plus point. Now the popular county slogan is 1Malaysia.

I agree that Malaysia is gifted and blessed.

    1Malaysia
as a slogan for Malaysia is just an insult to our intelligent. That's my opinion!
Malaysia could be a lot better for Malaysian without those people behind all those slogan, 1Malaysia my a**!

    To your questions:

    1. Yes I have heard of Malaysia
    2. It is prominent in the news here as an Islamic country with different tolerances and practices than the USA where I live
    3. No I have never been there

As different as the people are, there are a huge number of similarities such as the common search for understanding and knowledge to help ourselves and our families achieve more and better ourselves. Let's celebrate our similarities and help each other achieve common goals. Perhaps even our differences can help us achieve our common goals if we can learn from them. :)

    Dear Molly,

Belly dancing is not part of our culture. Do pay us a visit if you happen to be in Asia. Malaysia is divided into 2 main part namely West Malaysia (Peninsular Malaysia) and East Malaysia (Sabah & Sarawak).

We have a lot to offer! Where are you from BTW?
