you can easily do 5.00 dollars a day if you can concentrate and do the updates on your blog or sites. Work hard on adding more backlinks that high on PR and submit articles to EZ too for traffic. JulieV

Your problem is not adsense. It is low traffic. I would say you are lucky to earn even $1 a day with such low number of visits. And to the OP I have few suggestions. 1) Instead of the 250x300 ad block on each OP post you can add a 468x60 or 728x90 ad block below the first post(like here in DP) as this converts best in forums. 2) It would also get you more clicks/revenue if you add a vertical 120x600 or 180x600 unit to the left of your first post. Depending upon on the topic of your forum, image ads might get more clicks but only you can find this out by testing various positions. Keep testing until you spot the combination that pulls out the most revenue for you. Good luck !
Update, after posting this post and reading up on a few tips and hints I have earnt $96.45 this month so far Bit better than around 5 dollars. I have added many backlinks and added clickheat to my website to see where people are clicking on my website and placed ads there. I have also created a directory www.smivers.com/directory to boost my traffic as they are linked together.
Same "luck" with me man. man, i am giving up on adsense, first i thought that it will be easy to make some money with adsense, but now i realize that you have to own ceratin SEO skills to make some profit. and that is reasonable ofcours.
Nice work...from $5.00 to $96.00 is a huge increase. Has your traffic increased a lot? Do you have more forum members than before?
I do, ops forgot the NOT I never get the earning yet, it left $5 more to reach the payout. I guess, it would take forever to get that.
try to write more content and build more backlinks . Do it consistently and you shall improve your adsense earning. Don't give up. Be steady and win the race my friend.
I have found that it is so variable these days. Since Jan 09 it has varied between $300 and $50 per month, even though i continue to promote my site heavily. I think the global recession is having a major impact upon advertising revenues on adsense, but I think that by 2010 we may start to see the green shoots of recovery.
