Do You Make Money off of Your Blog?

Hi everyone,

I'm just curious to see if anyone on DP makes a substancial ammount from their blogging? Ive recently decided to start this in my spare time as a good way of testing what i can use in online marketing job. (The wrestling review blog is my 'for fun' one)

Does anybody here earn a little extra income from their blogs?

If so from where and what would you reccomend using?

The blog is a very powerfull tool for an online marketer. U can make a lot of money out of it if u use it wisely. First of all u have to constantly post interesting content and then get traffic to it. U then make an optin form and build a list with it. It's that simple but u have to test and test before u get it right, u have to fail a lot of times before noticing that a small tweak in the title or the pictures or content could increase your income dramatically. I personally don't make money yet from blog cause I didn't started one yet ( I will make one as soon as possible) but I have a lot of friends that have made money with it . And if u want to write about wrestling that's awesome cause there are a lot of people interested in this. Actually u gave me a great idea, my cousin's passion is wrestling, he's always talking about it, he's always practicing new wrestling techniques, and he has a lot of old materials and pictures with great wrestlers and I think he would make a lot of money with this, just like u would . You can earn more money through blogging if your blog have a lots of traffics.
You can try many other MMO Program to get your first $1 through blogging.
I also have earn money from my blog.

You can try doing some paid posts.

 

No. I don't make a cent. However, I hope my blog will bring more *indirect* opportunities later on when I have a larger business and more software products to speak of.

IMO, if your blogging FOR money instead of for the voice or for a web presence, it may be harder and maybe not really worth it. However, if your a "blogger" and that's all you do than it's a great way to make money. But remember the indirect opportunities available and don't pass those up just because your making enough money.

I'm still a newbie to the game. But my eyes are opening to a lot of possibilities in social media, social networking and blogging.

There are a lot of notable people who have blogs, not specifically for money, but to broaden the reach of their brand.

So, approach it with an open mind and you may have a few other ideas to go with...

 

I do make little bit money from my blogs. All depends on the traffic and right now, I don't have much traffic. Anyway, you can use wordpress. Try to get some traffic from search engines and you will make some money from your blogs.

 

I know a few people that make over $3k from several blogs but there is unlimited opportunity.

 

I have made some good money promoting affiliate products on blogs but hardly make money on adsense even though I get a good amount of clicks.

 

Yes i earn from blog but it only enough to cover the hosting cost of my blog.
Now i'm using adsense as my primary ads but i try to diversity it by using other type of ads network such as bidvertiser

 

I'm looking at starting a blog for my business so it's good see you can make money with one.

 

Monetizing the blog with adsense and affiliate programs really help. Like another poster said you just have to test to see what works and what doesn't. I use statcounter to see what links are being clicked on and where my traffic is coming from.

 

It is the traffic and the kind of niche that determines the earning potential of your blog. Keep refreshing your blog on a daily basis and seo will help you better monetize.

BTW, I don't earn much from my blogs as I don't update them regularly but my sites do perform well with adsense

 

I don't make any money with mine, but I just started it yesterday. It's indexed though.

Yeah im not blogging to make money per say. I was just wondering if it was possible and interested to see if anyone else was currently getting anything from theirs.

Its a sweet little blog broadcasting tool. Put your blog in the cycle and it'll get you quire a few visitors. I got 80 within a few hours just from this yesterday alone. Its well worth playing around with. Also if you type in alpha inventions into google you can see the guy who made it's word press blog which explains it all.

 

Ya you can make money through blogging also. Create a good content blog which attract people towards to your blog. And by using adsense you can make money from your blog also.

 

Yes you will, bt not soon after you build your blog. It needs time. Focus on content creation and traffic. opportunities will come for sure.

 

I have tried making a blog before, but I think I was doing it for all of the wrong reasons and it didn't work out. I plan on trying again, and I assume things will go much better this time.

 

I get paid to blog, so I make some money. I don't buy in to the whole Adsense/ Amazon affiliate thing, so I just accept paid blogging opportunities and let the clients who hire me keep that revenue

 

Nope, no money but I just cant edit my themes correctly. I have tried and tried. I need an extension for DW to make editing my themes, then maybe I can make some money.

 

For you guys that make money at blogging, do you make enough money to pay the electric bill? Or should I drive a cab instead?
