Do you make enough from Adsense that you don't have to work?

not at the point where I don't have to work yet but hopefully sooner than later!

 

How much are you currently earning? Are you working a 9-5?

 

Currently i have one stable website who is around 2 / 2,5K unique visitors per day (10K pageviews daily) and a few smaller websites between 300 / 800 unique a day. The problem is not the traffic but adsense in this case. CPM won't ben higher then €0,10 and on a lucky day my average CTR is +0,50%. I started those websites to get some more SEO and Adsense experience but it doesn't pay off.

I am working on some projects in other niches currently, the average keywords i am using on my game websites has a CPC of €0,05. To avoid this i am checking some new keywords / niches with the AdWords keytools.

 

Well - have you tried to implement other ad networks since its content-websites? I know that with Adsense and other networks combined, you could earn a lot to pay the bills, and then some.

How much time do your users spend on your site?

 

I make a few hundred a month, I want more though, I would love to sustain a website in which I won't have to work (well not as much)

IMO, adsense can be an extra income or primary source of income depending on one's capability.

 

At the moment, I have no job, I'm a full time student. Which is why a few hundred per month for me is pretty awesome. But like you say, it isn't enough to not have to work, which is why I'm determined to make a minimum of $50 a day.

 

+-2:30 min average, any suggestions for other ad networks since i am not that in to other CPC or CPA sites (Tested Clickbank and Amazon but both didn't work for me.).

 

Still learning adsense. Till now I earned only $25 from last 4 months from 6 websites which I am running to say honestly. Looking for to earn more say atleast $2-$5 per day. So if any one knows how to do so, please let me know.

I tried blog commenting, twitter, other social network sites, But earning is very small. Looking to get more by concentrating on some topics.

 

I'm finally having some decent results, after developing over a dozen keyword targeted websites (aka sniper websites) and monetizing the organic traffic with adsense and other methods. I'm currently getting around $1,000 per month... not much, but it's mostly auto-pilot, since I rarely spend much time building links to old websites. And with what I've been learning / experimenting, I should be able to get much better results before the end of this year.

Organic traffic is better than any other kind of traffic, so your first aim should be getting a couple thousands organic searches to your websites, daily.

Once you have the traffic, that's where the fun part begins! I just have to try different monetization tactics and see what works best for each website/demographic.

 

AdSense is fine, but it's not my main source of income. Like someone else in here said, putting all of your eggs in one basket is an awful idea.

Well, I am making living of adsense income, believe it or not. I see some people saying "don't put all your egg in one basket" I would say nothing wrong with it. If you play by the rules thn google not gonna harm you.
Monthly 5 figure from google is awesome

 

I was going to quit unless a pleasant day which encouraged me. But still not optimized. And i agree that ad sense is not enough a least for a newbie.

I'd recommend trying out Kontera or Vibrant media FOR CPC, its in-links for your content.

 

Uhm, i haven't thought about that. I don't think it will work either since i am not writing articles or blogposts. Most of the pages are dynamisch and don't have the right keywords in it to advertise with. I don't think there is a big CPC market for keywords like "Heaton config" or "Neo cfg" .

 

Ya, there isn't too many. You should try to find bigger niches to work in, that have a few advertisers.

 

I am working on my last game related website where i am going to merge all my current game websites. The domain is good for adsense (atleast better then my previous game websites.) so i hope to make more out of it.

Also started working on some ideas in other niches. Only thing i need to work on is boosting my CTR but maybe its just low because my CTR is based on game websites (not the perfect niche to get many clicks.).
