Do you make a living solely online?

    Hi guys,

I used to be a consistent winning player at online Texas hold-em poker. In fact, the reason I found the DP forums is because I was looking for ways to earn money online after the U.S. government cracked down on internet poker mid last year. When I was playing, making $100k a year by putting in 30 hours a week into the game was a very realistic goal for a decent player, and much higher for a really good player. I know how absurd that sounds. If I saw that advertised on a static e-book website and not firsthand, I would have laughed at the author before hitting the back button. It was true though.

The reason I ask this question is because I see a lot of DPers (I hope that's not an inappropriate term) mentioning that they're doing quite well in their respective areas (internet marketing, SEO, web design/development, graphic design, etc.) but it's hard to see that as a possibility from the outside when I look at over-saturated markets and services being offered at prices that seem impossible to compete with. Honestly, sometimes the idea seems like trying to squeeze water from a stone lol.

I'm not asking you to give up any trade secrets, but I'm just curious, do you make a living solely online or is it a part time endeavor for you?

I am trying to make this my part time at the moment. I have another job that generates me some income to keep me going on a daily basis.
