The question is really simple: Do you love your country or not and WHY? I don't love mine. If you look past the nationalistic stuff you realise Romania is in no way special(regardless if you're Romanian or not) . It's in no way better than most other countries. It's just another country as any other country in the world and I happened to be born in it. So no, I don't love my country, I just live here.
Patriotism results so often in people fighting with those from other countries. And people of a country seeing themself as "different and distinct" from those of other countries. We must learn to be true human beings and see beyond the artificial borders of countries and continents.
I voted for 'I love my country' , but I'm not a patriot or anything. I guess I like living in the Netherlands, but if I was born in Belgium / Germany / Italy cool I wouldn't really mind I guess
i born in Hong Kong (you can say China if you want to) and i spent 2/3 of my life there. I hate the people there that's why i get out and move to US. It has been 8 years since i move to NY You will have to shoot me to get me back to HK, i just hate there so much. However, if there is a war broke out between China and US, i don't know which side would i root for
Vancouver usually is in the first or second place as the best city to live in. It doesn't have the best weather, cheapest homes or greatest museums but when you add up everything, the result is still great. Canada is also the same, we don't have the most educated or liberal people in the world but we have enough. We are not the richest country in the world but we are rich enough, we are not a socialist country but have enough social programs to take care of our people,..... when you add up everything then you discover that Canada is a great country.
Evidently....not I'm from Scotland. Unfortunately, my fellow Scottish citizens are too stupid. One minute they say they want independence (from British government), the next day, the people of Scotland say they don't want independence. If we were independent we wouldn't have all those soldiers and civilians blood on our hands. Truly shameful. Further to that, the British Prime Minister was born and brought up nearby where I stay. Unfortunately I never thought to jump on his face until he became PM, dammit Other than that, I love Scotland. I love how I can go from this: To this: In a matter of an hour.
Certainly. I am a fan of flat roads to begin with - I do not like hIlLs (they make me feel sick... going UP and down). I also enjoy the scenery. New Zealand is great, but I hate having to pay such high amounts of tax...
I'm not a big fan of nationalism, but I want my country to be the best place it can be. Not for some abstract notion of patriotism though, but because I think that people (particularly myself, my friends, and family of course) should have the best chance to prosper and live free as possible.
I stopped loving my country when Blair licked Bush's arse and took us headlong into this disasterous BS war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Now he (Blair) has walked away from it all with impunity and has become a Middle East peace envoy. If that wasn't so ironic it would almost be funny.
