Do You Listen To Music While You Work?

Hmmm..for me, that really depends on what I am working. If I am working on something that needs to be read then I would not definitely listen to music.

 

Music doesn't distract me, it actually aids my work and benefits my results. YouTube saves my day, especially autoplay.

I always listen to some music when i am working. It gives me motivation and relaxes my brain at the same time. I would work on any kind of a project if there is some chill track from Bob Marley in the background. I wouldn't be so good in my line of work if i do my job with some music to keep me going ))

 

Yes, it can be distracting sometimes, but it depends from the work you are doing. If you do some precise work and you need to give 100% to get the job done, than you shouldn't. But if you are working on some paper work and you check your work, than music can just be your motivation ))

I had a 4 year song collection added to GroveShark and as you probably know site is down by today. All of a sudden they stopped, I even had no time to save my playlist

 

According to me, music is the best thing that happen to this world! Music should be listen everywhere, especially while your working, because it's improves your focus. But, most important is what kind of music you listen... I know that we have a lot of music genres, but most of them should be forbidden!

Let me tell you how I start my day with music... The first thing I do when I turn on my computer in the morning is winamp and facebook. Now, because I listen electronic music, I choose one of my favorite folders and then go on facebook and start to reading articles.

I hear you, YouTube's autoplay feature doesn't always play what I like either. Thats why I particularly like RadioTube, hook up to a radio station and it stays in sync until you close the tab, so the next song is selected by the radiostation and your browser is updated before autoplay kicks in.

 

I can't focus on work without music, but at the same time when I am fixing a serious problem, whether it be fixing a code or fixing a server issue, I turn off all music and zone in until the main problem is fixed.

If your job is at computer or you doing a job where you need give 90% of the brain in thinking, then listening to music is something that you should practice a lot.

My job is at computer and it required a maximum focus on your brain. I am dealing with people and I must communicate on english. So, without my music I think that I will end up in the hospital! I am a fan of electronic music like trance, techno or new age, but while I am at work I can not listen that. That's why I choose ambient, lounge or down tempo music. It's chilling my brain cells and also recharge my batteries.
