No, I don't like train travel, prefer my own transport or the flights if the traveling distance is too long.
Yeap, I like train travel. The former company that I had worked for, had organized the long trip by train to the North of the country. We hired some bogies and spending the night sleeping in the seats on a train from Bangkok to Chieng Mai. We took trip at night time. In the morning when woke up and look to outside view beside the train railway during travelling. It was very good experience. I can remember even it pass for many years.
I don't mind train travel. Just get my iPad or whatnot ready and relax and all asleep. I'd probably have to say I like train travel for longer distances than shorter ones.
In US trains are rare Only CalTrain, but it's so darn fast, that it's not much fun. I loved train-travelling in India. All those beautiful landscapes behind your windows, killer-spicy food, crazy railway stations... With some of these trains you can cross all the subcontinent in say 50 hours trip.
It depends on where you are back home where i am from its great, you get on an get off without having to do the whole airport check in, security check and plus usually the train stations are mostly located in the city where airports are usually located outside the city, so you may lose more time on travel but you might gain after you calculate all the things you have to do at airport. You can do work on the train and my kids love the train. The only problem is that the air travel is so competitive that sometimes train tickets are more expensive. thats why i always look at both. Driving is fun and much cheaper then any other traveling but i have a vote for trains
I prefer traveling by car, but as a kid riding on a train was like a dream. I think everybody should try it at least once. It doesn't have the Harry Potter feel you might hope for, but its worth the experience in my opinion.
come on, ac-3 was ok for me and my family, and when travelling in India as a single I went even with a sleeper (guess I'm too old for general class seat-battles and it was like an adventure
I absolutely envy some of you, jealous! I always wished to be able to travel on a train but no passengers train anywhere around here in Kentucky and West Virginia as well although there is trains all over here but they are coals hauler. I am kind of taken back with how there is no passengers train while the train rails is the most popular thing here in Kentucky and West Virginia that hauls coals because if there is train rails then there should be passengers train but unfortunately there are not. All I can do is either dream on or hope that some day they will start buying passenger trains and make a deal with a biggest coals hauler train here in Ky and Wv which is NSCorps. Definitely is on my bucket list.
i like travellling by train. it's slow and safe. i like to see the sailing picturesque scenes over the window, sitting and dreaming. for me it's very relaxing.
yes i do. i love to travel by train. Here in Pakistan, the condition of locomotive system is not established like in other countries, specially in the WEST were tube trains are commom. Here in Pakistan we enjoy Diesel engine which are so old. The condition of coaches are also not very good, but believe me its always a memorable journey by train. The speed is also not too much good, usually 160 km/h. But i love Train and journey by Train.
