    I see. But why did they ban that specific mango? All I know is that some airlines don't allow their passengers to have ripe mangoes inside their hand-carry bags. But that goes to all kinds of ripe mangoes, not just for Indian mangoes

    I love eating Mangoes.My native place is Goa, India. I am going to Goa the next week.I have a tree which will be full of mangoes by this month.I am going to enjoy eating them.

    Banned because US Dept. of Ag officials thought it would bring harmful bacteria in to US since Indian treatments were not to the par with US. Bush visit to India opened the gates - ofcourse with treatment, so now Indian Mangoes go through radiation before shipped to US.

    Bush traded Mangoes to US and Harleys to India.
