    Companies spend a fortune in building a recognisable brand and who would not want the brand recognition that Google has. The question then - why change? Is this a fore-taste of a total re-brand for Google?

    In my opinion leave it well alone.

    I am still seeing the old icon.
    Google change icon very often and not all the users have the same new icon update.

    Perhaps you can post or list the URL of the new icon so all can easy to see.

    Then the old icon is still in your browser Cache. Open up cache and search for "favicon" and find it! save it too your harddrive it will worth thousands as a collector item. LOL :p

    I really can't say I like the new one. I definitely liked the old one much better, but think they could have improved even more on that one..oh well.

    not sure if we're all seeing the same "G" icon. i'm seeing this kinda far fetched icon @ google for more than a week now:

    looks like 3 vertical lines or roman numeral "3". :confused:
