I've never build an XHTML site before so Im trying to keep it simple at the moment.

first try is excellent ... points to watch

1. the above navigation header misses some links on FF
2. the black sidebox should have text like white or some bright color so that it should be easily viewable..

great...i like it...my fav colors...but i don't like the orange stripe thing on top.

 

the colours are great.... good job!

but i don't know about the layout and the design in general. what's the green space for? will you putting images in there? why is the domain name hovering in a black box? and i agree with fuse-box, the orange thing doesn't make much sense, unless you make it move when i mouseover the links. so basically, i love the colors, nothing else

I like the colors/layout. My one tweak would have the background image continue to fade completely to white, it would make for a smoother look.
