    Its fun to watch a sporting event with friends and place a friendly bet, it makes the game more interesting. I don't bet very much though, its rare that I ever win lol

    Me personally I think it is OK and can make a sport or game more interesting even if it is only a small freiedly wger amongst friends or even a little more with your friend the Bookie. The main thing that you have to keep in mind is never never bet or wager more than you can comfortly lose.

    It's bad for the soul and you tend to lose a lot of money.
    Especially when you get unlucky (i.e. most of the time.)

    Well It's alright, if you take it for entertainment. I've beed betting for 3 years now and I can say that there are two types of people that make profit. The ones that play for fun and they bet only as much as they are prepared to lose, and the ones that have some good tactics or betting system they developed, but those unfortunately lose big before making some profit.

    What I find very interesting is the human psychology. No one stops betting until he is broken and practically everyone bets higher stakes when he loses lower.

    However, the best strategy is to bet low stakes with high @, watch matches and enjoy even if your teams loses and win big here and there :)
