Do You Like New Digital Point?

i just open DP and had a new look of DP today, WOAA ... where is my itrader??
and where is rep?
i'm a peon?

well anyway .. it seem that i need to re-start from null to get my reputation again

the new look is good (looking) but i really sad that i need to climb up to get my reputation again at here .. lol ...

 

new design is look cool. Great change

 

I love it myself. I know he has been working hard on this project and I am pleased to see this finally be done. I think it is all an improvement from what it was before and sort of moves DP into a new age (and possibly restored faith in the future of Xenforo) There is massive improvement on this new system and to all who complain, I think they will love it just as much when they get used to it. It is a huge change and I understand that, but it is so much better.

I was like... OMG! What happened to DP? It's only been a few days since I last logged in and the whole forum looks different but --- in a positive way of course. I like the new theme/lay-out but I was a bit surprised that even those old members are required to become 'established members' before they will be allowed to post a new thread to the Buy and Sell section. Oh well, if this is for the good then I have no objections since I noticed a lot of spammers here who frequently abuse their rights as members and some even managed to post some 'fake offers'.

 

I think the whole new system for all members is a good idea personally. It sort of gets rid of the other people who offered services that were low quality and badly managed and sold.


People also complain about the theme, I am not sure why because it does not need to be special, just look decent and be fast in my opinion.

 

Yes, I agree with you. I'd rather be in a forum with a simple yet easy-to-use theme than be in a forum where there are a lot of complex theme options. I think the new DP theme is pretty neat plus the text is larger and very easy to read.

 

With some tweaking I think the new forum will be great. I was actually thinking it was a custom coded forum platform, so it's not?

 

No it is not. It is a heavily changed version of the paid forum script, Xenforo.

I think new digital point view is so nice but he have experience of previews so some time need to easily use.

Yes you need to have 3 likes. I received one yesterday, you can get them by being helpful and offering good advice or for an opinion that resonates. I suspect even sharing good humor that lightens the mood would also get you a like.
Getting likes is about being a contributing member as opposed to someone who comes here and takes what he can get from DP without giving anything back.
The old system was about profit and deal making,(ITrader scores) perhaps good for the member but not so much for the site.

There's gonna always be haters. The use of memes doesn't really go with the site's content. It makes me take the site less seriously as a business platform. However, the new interface is good for a change although I liked the other one a lot too, and now there's actually a home page. All in all, I like the upgrade and its up to the users to learn the changes in how the site functions. Change is good when its for improvement and I'm sure the webmasters intended to improve the site's functionality and not just its look.
