do you like my first banner?

i used photo shop for the first time today and my friend helped me make my first banner. its at nuck926.blogspot.com its the banner im using right now

 

Well, my honest opinion is that since it's your first banner, it's great! If you're going to aspire to make graphics, I'd suggest starting a few text effect tutorials, as well as backgrounds. But the render is great!

For your first banner ever, I'd give you an 8/10!

great effort nuck! one this you should do as you progress is make your text stand out more as that is pretty much the most important thing on a logo, after all it represents the site, business etc..

for your first go I will give it 8.5/10

 

I agree wirh the above posters. For your first time its a good effort. The red text doesn't go well with the background and is hard to read.

The font is hard to read.. you either need a border around it or a different font color and placement.

 

Looks good. You definitely need to make the text stand out more though. The name of your site needs to be easily known!

Looks great, I like it alot but the Red is very hard to read, the white on the corner is easy to read thoe, good job.

I see it there... It's at the top saying NUCK with the cartoon character.

 

i like the image... but in my opinion, as a banner, i would imagine it would work better if the banner was just the hand, sleeve and electricity.. i think the head stops it being a banner and makes it a tight piece of art..

also, there is your name in red on top of the face, perhaps this is what is making me feel the banner would be better without the head.. i like the bottom left corner "nuck" but not the big bold red "nuck"

but, as your first banner it does say to me "Potential"

 

for me it's too simple..and not so much attraction..a bad choice of font..and not suitable for the concept of the banner itself..

but for newbie I guess it's pretty well

it is good but it is also kind of plain but it seems to suit your site so its good nice work

 

At first I'm little confuse like what poster #14 says. It's more like a header to me. But anyways since that was your first banner it looks great and good choice of image you use. You might need to put some words on it and word on font size and color combination. Nice work anyways. Great move.
