    The colors work for me in a "Rich Dad Poor Dad" kind of way. But I would have to agree with others that the text effects are just too much. Clean and simple is better.

    The purple and black don't really work together, the Background image could do with being a PNG with transparency and layer all of the text in photoshop and save as a higher quality image, optimize the size so it loads fast and it will look good.
