Poultry is also in meat category. BTW do you know that farmers give hormones to their chickens so their chickens can grow faster and become fatter? When this happens, farmers will get more profit.
I left meat few years back though I like it very much but found vegetarian diet much much beneficial over a longer period of time. Meat can give you good amount of protein and fat and other things too but vegetarian food is the one that is rich in all kinds of vitamin and nutrients. Also there is lots of variety in vegetarian food. Its tasty too!
BTW, for vegans and vegetarians, I respect your decision, but I'm afraid vegetable is not nutritious. People who don't eat meat usually wind up having nutrients and vitamins deficiency, especially vitamin B12, since no vegetable contains vitamin B12. want to take multivitamins to get enough vitamins? do you think where multivitamins come from?
