i hate magento for one reason - you need to be a VERY capable programmer just to modify the smallest bits. if you just want an off the shelf app that does the basics then it's perfect but if you need some custom modification it can be VERY tricky to get your head around.
There is a solution to make the magento faster. This is a robust application for ecommerce solution you need to have a good hosting server like zend server and need to do some technical adjustment. You need 1 gb space 2 gb shared ram
My name Ivan Proskuryakov - Russia Ive been working with magento for 2 years, first time i saw it thought that it is the best CMS i've ever saw. It was hard and difficult to learn Magento. Now my niche is ecommerce and i have already done many magento extension, u can find them on magentoconnect - magentocommerce com/magento-connect/developer/Magazento Magento is like a wordpress but for ecommerce, it already have more than 4500 extensions. and as developer i can say its harder and harder to find new idea for magento extension it doesnt matter free or paid. I remember Year ago it was hard to find cool slider or image viewing effect, now we have lots of them. Same for Billing and shipping methods. Like all innovations its hard to understand how it works, but i can say thats this CMS is very configurable and usefull for biz. So what can i say about magento integrations.. Most of stores i have done sells from 200 to 10000 product using magento, and that happy to use it. Never tested magento with 100K+ products, but sure if u have properly configurated server and your hands grows from the right place(not from ass) magento should works fine Just google what ppl say about it, i just wrore my thoughts. By the way.. happy to get in touch with clever bright ppl my skype id is volgodark google id -
For small shops of < 100 items not needing all the bells and whistles I would first consider Prestashop - very easy to customize and very fast. For multi-store features and extra capabilities I guess Magento comes next - if you have extra cash for top-notch hosting and have expertise building on top of it.
The entire PureHerbalCure.com network of websites is magento based. It is a very capable and reliable ecommerce platform.
i like magento for some reason 1. Magento needs dedicated servers from hosting providers 2. Magento is easy to use and supports features like navigation, customization, admin panel, payment gateway, etc. 3. you can convert Magento into a fully functional ecommerce website with an online shopping cart without requiring any programming expertise. But i have some disadvantages like 1. Magento is that only the limited community edition is free. 2. The full-scale commercial product has to be purchased and it’s not exactly a cost-effective choice.
ya its good and fast .. Basically magento is an open source software for ecommerce solutions . its mainly use to develope your web applications on open source platform digital marketing services provider emarketingnext.com
I am looking at using it soon. It looks excellent. Also they look more expert and have top excellent customers detailed.
Yes I agree. I would also consider other e-commerce options though without using magento. Alternative options can be: 1) 1shopping cart 2) 3dcart Keep in mind I only chose these two because the prices for some are just ridiculously high.
I like Magento very much because i used it and developed many eCommerce sites and these site is like very user friendly and interactive, have lots of features. my website is http://psdtomagentosite.com and many more.
