    I despise it -- unless it's not really gambling.

    What I mean by the latter is best cited with a couple examples:

    Going into the 2004 NBA playoffs, the Detroit Pistons were a 27-1 long shot, and everyone who was paying attention knew they were the best team of the lot since they acquired Rasheed Wallace. And though they had a good first round scare, they rolled from then on and creamed the favorite LA Lakers in the finals to take the championship.

    An even better example was the even money line for Bush and Kerry to take Florida in 2004. Anyone with brain one knew the real odds were 100-0 in favor of Bush in that state in which his brother was governor and the electronic votes could be counted any way without being audited. Wish I had money to bet on that one at the time.

    Gambling..i think one of the most dangerous habits probably..Casinos especially are included in a very strong industry, with only purpose to drain pockets, bank accounts and everything else translated in cash..

    I'm big in betting on football and the horses. Can't say i'd ever think of making money out of it, but it brings in a nice bit on the side each month.

    Losing more than you can afford to lose is when gambling becomes a problem.
