do you like chat rooms?

I'm thinking of launching a chat room.

I want to take a survey to see what people's opinions are on chat rooms. Do you like them? why or why not?

What are your experiences about chat rooms?

Any comments would be appreciated.

They're a waste of time and mostly for young teens/pedophiles pretending to be young teens.

 

Their fine and sometimes amusing. The hard part is getting people to come to your chat room.

Im sure pedophiles don't mind "wasting" their time pretending to be teens.

 

I do not like chat rooms I have always stayed away from them.

 

I am not a fan of chat rooms, I prefer forums like DP

DP forum is far better than Chat rooms. I hate them...

 

I like chat rooms but not much more them do , but yes when we get bored than we have a group of 45 friends visit all local cities near by us in yahoo chat room and make lots of nonce over the mic .

 

I love Chat rooms, i have one embeded on one of my website pages,
for my forum members to meet up, on occasions we have exciting
chat room parties, where the members there make purchases from other members we have an absolute blast!
and sometimes we just meet up on a friday night
to let our hair down sorta speak.

I send out an email to everyone to invite them, i would embed my
playlist at times so that we can all jam to music and have a really good time.

So i think it can be a very lucrative thing, sorta like a social network
but you get to speak to the person live!
lot's of mommy groups does it for buying and selling parties
it's very popular among wahms work at home moms .
i would love to see that be the next wave that takes over the internet!
I would be nice to see more affiliate marketing chat rooms!

So i say go for it and do something very great i mean big!

Chat room is these days are usually flooded with advertisements

 

unfortunately chat room are flooded with pedophiles and what not, forums are better, you can meet new people and exchange ideas depending on the topic of the forum.

 

I like those chat room where I can play online game with human.I love chess and AOE.

Used to IRC yeaaarrrss ago, but haven't been in a chatroom for about 10 years.

Trying to start a chatroom site will be tough, there is just too much competition from the major online players that offer chat rooms.
