Do You Like Bill Maher?

I find this guy to be one of the funniest and most straight forward guys on TV talking politics... I've been a fan of his for years.

Just last night he was talking about all the laws Bush breaks, and how big of hypocrites our government is.

Funny story. When I was living in L.A., I went to a taping of Bill's "Politically Incorrect" and while Bill was pretty funny as usual when the cameras are on, he is dead boring when they're off. I kid you not. I guess like most comedians Bill knows when to turn it on when the camera is rolling and basically shuts down when they're off. Anyways, just a little story about my barely brush with fame. P.s. Garafalo was one of the guests that day (she basically used to live on PI), but I don't remember the other three.

I can't give you any direct quotes, because I stopped watching years ago.

Stupid people depress me. Watching Bill Maher was like watching the Special Olympics of political commentary.

That is a complete misrepresentation of my statement.

I do not believe that you could have made such a gross misrepresentation by accident; such error could only be made as a purposeful act.

Your post easily qualifies as problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude).

I believe that you owe me an apology.

That is a complete untruth. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Instead, when called on your poor behavior, you deny the obvious.

You should apologize for your poor behavior.

The question is, what level of problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) behavior is appropriate for this forum?

I am perfectly fine with any policy, as long as we all conform to the policy. I can debate rationally like adults, or I can fling feces with the most energetic of the monkey.

The question is which is more appropriate for this forum and which is more inline with this forums ToS.

You mean the same poor behavior you and your group of cheerleaders participate in? Attacking people with opposing beliefs by tracking down their posts outside of General chat and red repping them as a team?

You should apologize for your cheerleaders poor behavior.

Personally, I am rather fond of cheerleaders, but that's another topic entirely.

No denial of the accusations... guilty as charged. You and your cheerleaders should be ashamed of yourselves and apologize immediately. ;)

    yo-yo:

Here I was trying to convince ferret not to drag this topic into meaningless feces tossing, and you come along and attempt to do the same thing.

I am not going to engage in a feces tossing competition with you yo-yo. I have been down that path before, and there is nothing there for me.

I saw him years ago when the focus was things that were ridiculous because of "political correctness" but last little bit I saw of him, he looks like he crossed the fence somewhere into the wacky ward or something. I didn't see him as much of a comedian then or now. Was he trying to be one? I thought he was really trying to get political debate going in the beginning, what does he do now?

Although, what can you expect from a show that puts movie stars in a place of authority in politics?!?!?

my 2 cents, but like I said I don't watch him, so I don't know what he is doing now.
