I was just wondering the answers from you here. I saw the post about backup tools in this forum. So many people use the backup tools comes with window. What about you? Would you like to choose a third party software to backup your data on your computer if you need? Or any other choice?
I like to backup function with windows system too. About the third party software, it depends on the price(free or not ) and the function I think.
It's not a question of liking and not liking. I found out early on that windows backup and any other backup utility are just about the same. Only the user interfaces are different; the underlying function is the same. And since the function is already built into windows, why would I invest in another backup utility? It would just be paying for duplication.
Back up tool is very important in big organization. Because if your system does not responded due to some situation you third party software will be helpful to resolve your issue.
Ntbackup rocks. It does everything you need. I've implemented it countless amounts of times for client's disaster recovery plans. It has been tested too - and definitely worked properly during emergencies. Just make sure you set it up correctly, and test restoring every so often to verify.
I have just started using the same as well. I earlier tried Norton Goback but found it very heavy on resources and so had to switch over! Regards, RightMan
