Do you know What is the difference between https and http?????

    Hi,

    This is my site : www.rooms2book.co.uk. if i type site:www.rooms2book.co.uk in google it is showing https://www.rooms2book.co.uk and http://www.rooms2book.co.uk. is there any difference between https and http. Is there any problem by crawling https://www... for rankings in search engines. How to rettify this problem pls let me know.

    https is meant when you have to use secure connections between your web sever and website so that the information exchange is secure from sniffing or phising.

    IMO Google will find difficult to index these pages as these usally require user intervention to proceed in a secure connection.

    Yes HTTPS is Secure Socket Layer... wich is a more secure Protocol version of HTTPS ... it is encrypted and the data wich is send between to nodes is unreadable by others. It is very difficult to crack (if possible) ..

    HTTPS should be used for the pages wich have the forms for sensitive data... like credit card numbers and adresses... The other pages of sites are often left as http... just check around and see the big sites what they do ... they refer you to a secure page when it comes down to inputting sensitive data...
