    How hard is it to build new stuff there? As far as i know they use some sort of programming language or is it just WYSIWYG?

    you can exchange the SL $ to Real dollars by going to the currency exchange in the second life website. some people earn dozens of money from this thing !

    second life is a sims type game where users can create their own content, clothes, toys, tvs, videos...etc. you then get people to pay you in virtual dollar in exchange for your virtual goods, you trade virtual dollars for real dollars=profit.

    I've heard that people pay like $25,000 for islands on it. I read about it in PC Gamer. I think my brother has a really smart building on it.

    I just had a go on it. First hour i was flying around not knowing what to do. Then i listened to some jazz at some random place and then i spoke to some chick who was trying to steal my house. Good thing i did not have a house. Second life is f-ed up! :D I can see how people can spend hours on it though.
