I am not getting why hosting is so costly :)

if they can provide 30 gb email inbox and they can esaily afford to provide cheapest hosting service.

The thing is though, they don't expect you for a second to actually use any of that space.

Disk space does cost money, as does the bandwidth required for such a huge amount of files.

The amount a company like this offers you is just a marketing gimmick. Use anywhere near that amount of space in reality, and you'll find your account closed pretty sharpish!

What would you need so much space for anyway? I can only think of either warez, or backing up your hard drive.. both of which I'm sure are against the TOS of most free email providers.

I am curious why you wanted to have that much space?
    Isn't 3GB (nearly) enough ?
I've used Gmail for more than a year and have 5000+ emails in it..Only used 50MB so far.

I have been using them 30gigs.com for the last 6 month. I never received any advertising email. And also never faced any problem in using it. It work faster then gmail. I kinda dot not have gmail matching feature. But this is still far far better then then pleask or CPanel emails.

It's worth signing up there. That's what I think.

I'm up to 50%, and even though Gmail capacity increases, my inbox is increasing at a faster pace!

You can always just use a shared hosting plan like dreamhost and use the total allotted disk space for email.

Well 1% of the people using it will actually get close to 30gigs, so they just hope that people don't use a lot of bandwidth, and say 30gigs.

Technically they could say 1000gigs or whatever and it would still mean the same thing,
